Audience Member I'm no Ray Liotta fan but this is one of the better roles I've seen him do, and also the rest of cast in Point of Origin is basically performing well, at least in a production for television. However, what's even better with this film is the cinematography, editing and digital effects, all being used with good intension, except from in the ending where it gets a bit over the top. All in all, an entertaing way to describe the incredible story about a mad arsen investigator. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Tv movie all the way but actually a good watch. Ray Liotta is brillant as the egotistical arson investigator/arsonist. Based on true story and all the funnier for it. Liotta's fantasy moments of violence and heroism and brillant and show how much of a nutjob the guy actually was. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting colours, but the plot wasn't so great. & good actors though! Not That bad of a tv-movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent performances, some brilliant fire effects and camera shots but a truly poor script. The most obvious whodunnit I've ever seen. The guy wondering around even looks like who it turns out to be! Or does he? - yawn. Pretty pointless story in the end I thought, despite being an apparent true story, surprising to me as HBO is usually a stamp of real quality. Give it a miss.
