Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member 1986: The governor announces that due to budget restraints, one of the two police academies. either the one headed by Cmdt. Lassard, or the one headed by Cmdt. Mauser, will be closed. Mauser plots with former cadets to sabotage Lassard's academy. Meanwhile, Lassard's academy brings in a new batch of recruits, to be trained by our usual suspects: Mahoney, Jones, Tackleberry, Hightower, et al. Not quite the fun of the original film, but an upgrade over the second installment. Overall, enjoyable. Stars: Steve Guttenberg, Bubba Smith, David Graf, Michael Winslow, Art Metrano, and George Gaynes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review uncle p Story/Screenplay: (2.5/5) Not a bad comedy, but there's nothing really new here. As a sequel, it was too similar to its predecessors. Not a lot of laughs. Duration/Tempo: (3/5) At 1 hour and 23 minutes, it's a very, very short movie that felt average in length. Cast & Crew: (3/5) Nothing special. Bobcat Goldthwait was probably the most interesting. Summary: (3/5) The story and cast were only OK and the film felt longer than it actually was. A thumbs down.
