Audience Member If you love ice hockey, here's a flick for when you're not on the ice. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This film did a fantastic job capturing the current state of Pond Hockey and hockey in general. A great film for anyone who participated in any sport growing up. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the scene where the skater talks about how he was 2years old and his parent took him to the bond to skate with a chair. That's how I learned and did millions just like him. These sports complexes with their camps and expensive leagues are killing the sport. Sports need to return back to street so every kid can play and have fun without retarded parents and coaches telling them what to do. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Entertaining documentary on the culture, history, and current status of pond hockey. The film uses the national pond hockey championships as a backdrop for a discussion on the merits of pond hockey as compared to indoor rinks: the first being a place where the game is freely played for fun, and the latter being more structured and competitive. The filmmakers pose that playing on a pond is better for skills development and stress-free fun than the arena, and argue it well. In my opinion, the argument is somewhat applicable to all youth sports, so more than just hockey fans can relate. Recommended. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member pretty much the most low budget, poorly made doc i've ever seen, but man did it make me want to strap on my skates and run to the park. i also now know i need to have a backyard rink someday... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member If you liked Dogtown and Z-boys, you'll love this. It was very cool to see how pond hockey shaped the lives of those who played it. Not something us Californians get to see much. Wish I had an ice rink in my backyard! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
