A courageous woman and her new love find themselves fighting racism in a small Spanish town. Lucia (Cuca Escribano), who grew up in the area, had been living in Madrid for the past few years until her father's death calls her home. She inherits the family farm, and with it the counsel of Curro (José Coronado), who has been working as the accountant. As their mutual attraction grows, they are confronted by the town's hostility toward illegal workers, which threatens to undermine their farm.
