Despite its faults and its wilful sense of vagueness, Portal is to be commended for at least trying to be a little more cerebral than many of its genre bedfellows and it occasionally delivers some richly-imaginative and startling imagery. Go to Full Review

A film with a decent premise, but never manages to open up the door to reach its full potential. Go to Full Review

Another "let's go to a murder victim's house and see if there are any ghosts there" movie. Been there, done that - but send the t-shirt. Go to Full Review

Doesn't really get going until the third act, and by that time I checked-out. Go to Full Review

Brianna G 09/22/2024 Nothing happens for the first 45 minutes...then all the "paranormal" stuff is painfully underwhelming and cheezy. Save yourself an hour and 10 minutes of your time and don't bother watching this pathetic attempt at a movie. See more 04/03/2020 This is a serviceable little horror flick. Released quietly last year I was initially intrigued by the trailer, the casting of Heather Lagenkamp(Nightmare on elm st.) and childhood crush Ryan Merriman (Ring 2). The movie centers around a group of paranormal investigators trying to do legit shows but on the verge of cancellation they finally discover something real and begin to regret it. The movie doesn't bring anything new to the table but it's marginally entertaining. Sadly the films best performance comes from Lagenkamp who only shows up 15 mins before the ending and still packs one hell of a scream. As for the rest of the cast they're okay. A little more imagination and development would have benefitted this but it's still not a bad way to pass the time. 3/5 See more 03/18/2020 Ghost hunters looking for ghosts find a demon instead. Parts of this movie were funny, but not THAT funny. Some Haunted house movie fans might like this. See more 11/09/2019 Saw this on amazon, solid light hearted horror. Just wished it was longer. See more 11/02/2019 Portal was a refreshing horror/thriller take on ghost hunting with some laughs and solid suspense throughout. It's always nice to have that combo of horror and some humor. Really fun ride that held my interest and entertained entire time. Great performances and characters; I actually wanted to see what happened to them after it ended! It was shot really well too. A definite reccomend. See more Read all reviews
