As children's entertainment, [it] is pretty wretched. Character designs are rudimentary, plot points are set up and never paid off, and halfway through the closing musical number the animators appear to forget that Pat is meant to be moving his lips.

The story is not what I'd expect for a film based on Postman Pat, but its very clever. Yes, I do agree the animation does look like this film was made on a low budget and can be creepy at times, but David Tennant and Jim Broadbent's acting along with the story being about fame not being everything is a really nice touch. Plus, the film was way ahead of its time back in 2014, where relying on AI is not always a good thing and this was before AI became a concern since 2023.

This movie is really fun. The songs are really nice to listen to, the opening actually feels like the first two seasons, and the all-star cast and good acting from them really makes up for the cliché plot and cheap and cartoony animation.

Whatever you do, don’t watch this! The plot is just a fiddle of randomness, I couldn’t even tell what is going on! This isn’t faithful to the original program at all! The animation looks cursed, the original program had cute animation, but this here, I’m scared. The performances are meh. The performances sound amazing but David tennant sounds like he’s doing a fake Scottish accent! There is also product placement

Mechanically animated and stealing from other, better children's animated films, "Postman Pat: The Movie" carries none of the charming essence of the original show and fails in the area of entertaining.

I don't believe anyone asked for a movie where Postman Pat goes onto a SINGING COMPETITION. It's just so incredibly jarring and overall out of place, especially since you can tell they really didn't know what they were doing with this plot; send this one back to the post office, thank you very much.
