I wish the film had hit a little harder or had a few unpredictable plot elements, but as far as Christian movies aiming to make mainstream headway are concerned, this is certainly one of the better ones I've seen.

Letoya Luckett did an excellent job as a young, innocent church girl who met the devil in Babbs, a washed out R&B singer. After leaving a very restrictive home and church, she pursued a career on stage. Clifton Powell, who did well as a gruff yet caring stage manager, tried to warn her about the coming heartbreak. It’s a great coming of age and first heartbreak film. Luckett can certainly sing and her music adds greatly to the movie.
