For bike messenger Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), dodging speeding cars, evading crazy cabdrivers, and blowing by millions of cranky pedestrians is all in a day's work. Wilee is one of the best in a dangerous job, and his bike of choice is a Fixie, a lightweight, single-gear unit without brakes. Though Wilee knows that one day he may end up as a smear on the pavement -- he is unprepared for what happens after his last run of the day turns into a life-or-death chase through Manhattan.

Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online The pace of the movie is really fantastic, but once you get past that and realize you've been watching a 90-minute bike chase, which isn't nearly as thrilling as the trailer lets on, you begin to deflate. Rated: D+ Sep 7, 2017 Full Review A.A. Dowd Time Out Chicago Want more from a late-summer joyride than slides, wheelies and bunny hops? Get a load of Shannon, dementedly inspired, trying out an oddball accent and Richard Widmark giggle. Rated: 3/5 Jan 8, 2013 Full Review Keith Uhlich Time Out Just a few spokes short of a wheel, guys. Rated: 3/5 Jan 8, 2013 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Director David Koepp... understands the mechanics of action cinema and he puts the promise of 'Premium Rush' right in the title. There’s not much to the plot but the journey is a rush. Jun 11, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review What a joy it is to be delivered such a coherent and smartly made action movie when so many these days are just the opposite. Rated: 3.5/4 Oct 3, 2022 Full Review Cory Woodroof Lumination Network It's handsome entertainment wrapped in a glitzy cover the kind that you relish in the now, laugh about in the later and recognize in the future. Kenny P major plot holes + weak CGI makes + dumb action of main character + timeline inconsistency = poor attempt at a great idea Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/23/24 Full Review Alex F Brings back memories- ex bike messenger from NYC—do they still exist? I moved to DFW- no such thing as messengers down here :) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review Vitor R So, lets say you want a movie to watch on a friday night with your family where you dont think too much and just enjoy some popcorn and a soda, you may enjoy this. A good chase 2010's movie with the great Joseph Gordon-Levitt. But, there are a few problens with this movie: the bad sex and swearword jokes that dont land, the long flashback scenes that explaind too much almost calling the audience dumb, the terrible attempt of making a evil speach on the ambulance and ending scene where the corrupt cop dies (i know that is a family friendly movie!!! but it would be better not show his death and implicitly say that). I will pass the bad cgi because it was 2012 🤷‍♂️ Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Dionisis T Mindless action but still it was enjoyable and a funny waste of 1 hour and 31 minutes of my life... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/25/23 Full Review Really enjoyed this movie, despite concerns of some films with Joseph being a little hit-or- miss. It was easy viewing for a Friday night and introduced me to an aspect of NYC I never new existed.
