With its TV-G rating, Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol is great, kid-friendly holiday entertainment. While it’s likely not going to enter the pantheon of annual holiday re-watches, it’s the ideal show for the under-10 crowd. Go to Full Review
Rob Owen Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Dec 1
Unfortunately, this new story strays from the initial concept of elves who work to prepare the way for Santa, instead focusing more on the characters and their lives when not on the clock, which is not as magical or entertaining. Go to Full Review

Where previous stories in this universe felt like uncovering another layer of a shared winter wonderland, this special also touches on summer and romance—and almost misses the mark of the season. Go to Full Review

S S. @SShol Dec 11 I love the first two specials, but this one seems like a completely different genre. There’s barely any Christmas in this Christmas special, Santa seems darker than previous specials, and there’s no joy in the Wayne character this time around. It’s a set of shorts combined halfheartedly with a musical number (?) and it seems like a random episode of office mates, not a Prep & Landing special after so long. Would not rewatch this third one, and will (very easily) forget it was even created See more Jacob B Dec 9 Well, at least Disney's heavy focus on sequels has resulted in revivals of IPs that have languished in obscurity. Too bad Prep & Landing 3 isn't that good with a framing device that seemingly exists to set up a TV show (not helping is that, unlike its predecessors, this was produced by Disney TV Animation, not WDAS) and the segments being quite weak in their own right. The animation and voice acting are okay and I guess there are some well-intentioned lessons but this feels like it exists for the sake of content for Disney+ subscribers. And yet, they still haven't added the preceding specials on the service, SMH. The framing device having its bait-and-switch telegraphed doesn't help. Also, was I supposed to call Wayne lazy in the second segment? Seems to me like he just wanted to relax but is being harassed for simply not wanting to participate. Having rules is one thing but bothering him for simply sunbathing? Encourage groupthink much, Disney? The things I watch to get my Xmas fix. See more Kymber H. @SandlotLover17 Dec 8 Just like every other Prep and Landing special. Extra points for how adorable the seal Nog was!!!❤️ See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 4 Prep & Landing: Snowball Protocol is an incredibly charming Disney short that continues to elevate the beloved Prep & Landing series. Wayne and Lanny remain standout characters, delivering humor, warmth, and undeniable Disney magic with every scene. This installment is particularly delightful, as it features Santa in a slightly frazzled role, trying to address an oversight, while the elves navigate their own comedic anxieties—Wayne hilariously spilling secrets only adds to the charm. The animation is crisp, colorful, and full of energy, creating a world that feels as immersive as a feature-length film. The short’s storytelling is tight, sweet, and clever, making it accessible for viewers of all ages while still keeping longtime fans engaged. It successfully blends humor, holiday spirit, and heartfelt moments. Overall, this short exemplifies why Prep & Landing has become a classic, leaving audiences excited for new installments and eager to rewatch it every holiday season. So it has all the same spark and attitudes of the original ones. I really loved Nog and Renato (spoilers) It was fun to finally see Renato as he was only mentioned in the previous one, and now we all know why Magee really wanted those massages haha I really hope they do more, I like when story lines adapt and grow personally. I didnt midn the small 3 storyline split they did, you got to see waynes personality more, in the originals we was a bit jaded and now we see the spark back in his life. And, Lanny is still just as goofy as ever, love that guy! See more Amanda H Nov 30 Too far from the original storyline. Had real potential, but didnt even feel like a Christmas special, which is what it is supposed to be. What a let down. See more Read all reviews
