Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Its pretensions about humans-becoming-animals aside, "Preservation" is still pretty fun, if paradoxically more so before the blood sport begins. Jan 29, 2015 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com Survival horror is a tough enough genre to pull off; defining the characters within one through tired clichs and boring archetypes only makes it more so. Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 9, 2015 Full Review Nicolas Rapold New York Times Like his ill-fated hunting party, Mr. Denham's plans for his thriller don't turn out quite the way he'd hoped. Jan 8, 2015 Full Review Jason Adams The Film Experience It dulls the edges right off of any wicked turns it makes its move for Jul 6, 2021 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts I'm so sick of seeing the same wilderness-type story done over and over. Rated: 4/10 Jun 1, 2021 Full Review Jared Mobarak The Film Stage Preservation finds itself fracturing into two halves. Both are moderately effective yet their contrast hinders us from staying invested without being jolted by their artifice. Rated: C+ Feb 28, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Emilliano Jr S A low budget yet effective thriller. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Audience Member a survival thriller about being forced to live by any means 3 people; a wife, her husband, and his brother go to the woods for a hunting/camping trip the wife is pre-med so since her job is saving lives she doesn't believe in hunting or killing animals her husband's brother was just recently discharged from the army so he has some tactical skills setting up camp and preparing food one day however when they all wake up they find most of their belongings are gone, they are hopelessly lost, and worst of all someone is watching them each of them are being hunted down a bear kills because it's defensive, a lion kills because it's hungry where man kills because it's fun, you'd be surprised what you're forced to do in order to make it out alive, either it's kill or be killed, the thrill of the chase is one thing but trying to escape is another how many human beings hunt others just because they want bigger trophies? this is on way smaller budget and it's very short cause it jumps right into the swing of things good acting though and a fair level of suspense with some blood Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review John R I don't know why three teenagers decided to stalk these three people through the woods and kill them. I also wish that subplots that were introduced early in the film were just tossed out when the dog and camping equipment disappeared. Also, how did three teenagers on bikes manage to steal a tent from AROUND two sleeping people? It was a decent watch, with a couple of "no don't go in there character" moments, but in the end was mostly disappointing due to badly explained villains and low production quality. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Battle-hardened GI is no match for 3 gamers with an attitude. Unfortunately for them, former Girl Scout who understands the nature of cookie-selling mysogyny gets pissed off and wields some mighty fine feminist superpowers. Yay girl-power. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review nilufer e It wasn't the worst manhunt, blood sport movie I've ever seen but it was kind of bad. The worst part was the acting besides the lead woman, the guys were horrible. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe I should watch all of it first before rating...but ywo things...the guy gets a knife to the gut. Stands there with a loaded rifle just staring at the guy for ten or fifteen seconds. Enough time to shoot the guy. But he doesn't...secondly other guy sees water bottles hanging in tree. Goes to get one. Girl sees hes goinf to step in large steel jaw animal trap. Instead of saying "Mike stop. She just says mike mike until he steps in it.
