Although the film's stunning reveals make the audience realise it has been duped... there is a protagonist to empathise with each time. Go to Full Review

It's quite a movie -- atmospheric, obsessive, almost satanic. Go to Full Review

An example of old-fashioned storytelling, the kind of magical movie that could have been made fifty years ago and, consequently, will still be watched fifty years from now. Go to Full Review

Plus one of Jackman’s early conceits revealed what a good actor he can be, and we forget because of the body. He actually manages to seem like a different person and almost change the structure of his face in one early scene w Go to Full Review

Nolan constructs a fascinating tale that twists and turns at every opportunity, although there is perhaps one twist too many in a slightly overbaked dénouement. Go to Full Review

Nolan looks at how obsession can drive you beyond your limit and destroy everything, even when the simple answer is right in front of you. In the process, he … intentionally crafts an allegory of filmmaking itself. Go to Full Review

Liam Q @LQ355 1d Excellent, love how it makes you think of how advanced Tesla was even though David Bowie made me chuckle See more kwazikwenkosi s @BuggyDclownvsGoDUssop 2d Christopher Nolan really crafted a masterpiece here. It’s one of those rare films that demands a second watch the moment the credits roll, specifically because that "unpredictable" twist recontextualizes every single scene that came before it. The Price of Obsession it isn't just a magic movie " It’s a psychological thriller about obsession. The rivalry between Robert Angier and Alfred Borden isn't just professional; it’s destructive. It shows that to truly "outdo" a rival, these men were willing to sacrifice their sanity, their families, and ultimately, their humanity. The "Prestige" of the Title The way the film explains the three parts of a magic trick—The Pledge, The Turn, and The Prestige—is brilliant. It doesn't just name the movie; it provides the literal blueprint for how the story is told. The film itself is the magic trick. See more SELECT @SetecAstronomy 4d This is my favorite movie of all time. The twist is the best of Nolan’s filmography in my opinion. Bale and Jackman characterize their roles perfectly. Music is great. Subject is engaging (magicians.) See more Danita H @danicksss Jan 3 Yes. Kept you guessing the entire movie and then a great twist at the end!!! See more Mitchell S @Mitchstur Jan 2 Like all of Christopher Nolan's movies, it's an interesting premise but it's butchered by an overkill of intellectualism. But at least there's a good cast and story. See more Pedro A Dec 31 La película es genial. Sentí que predije cada parte de ella, pero al final, desmintieron todas mis teorías. La película es impredecible, te hace pensar mucho, y cansa un poco el cerebro (en menor medida, pero algo parecido a Inception). Definitivamente la recomiendo, es muy entretenida y te mantiene enganchado todo el tiempo, solamente evita spoilers, por favor!!! Genio, Christopher Nolan! See more Read all reviews
