Monica Castillo RogerEbert.com Between stilted conversations, murky cinematography, and the story’s intimate partner violence, the film is distracting in an unpleasant way. Rated: 1/4 Jul 5, 2025 Full Review Jacob Oller AV Club As exciting and steamy as a teen who keeps accidentally snapping his date’s bra in the middle of a fumbling hook-up. Rated: D- Jul 4, 2025 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety This “Thing” ends up being forgettable, that fate sealed by a weak fade-out. Nonetheless, it’s a diverting enough way to spend 90-odd minutes. Jul 3, 2025 Full Review Erik Childress Movie Madness Podcast There is a potentially interesting subversion of the sexual thriller by modern standards but the leads never generate much heat and both are pretty much ciphers until the film wants us to suddenly understand their motivations. Rated: 2/4 Jul 14, 2025 Full Review Ruben Peralta Rigaud Cocalecas A bland, pulseless, and soulless erotic thriller. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 14, 2025 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Even though the drama Pretty Thing has committed performances, the main characters are underdeveloped and the story seems unfinished. This shallow movie does nothing new in an over-used plot about an obsessed lover who refuses to accept a breakup. Jul 10, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Jerod S Alicia's mouth has never been so down-turned - but Pretty Thing is still creepy in a fun way. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/15/25 Full Review Iamwhoi M Just a really basic, crappy movie of the Lifetime movie ilk. No character development, zero likable people. It's a worthless, uninteresting, boring, predictable piece of crap. Utterly forgettable. Zero chemistry between the main characters. Apparently, Al8cia Silverstone is hard up for work these days. It just sucks. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review Teneshia T I really enjoyed Pretty Thing! It was very exotic and steamy. There was a life lesson in the movie as well, don't hook up with someone and take them to Paris and then think it's just a friendly jester lol. You can meet someone just like Elliot! All in all, the movie was really good, and I'm glad to see Alicia Silverstone getting back in movies Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Christine S. Pretty good but not awesome movie. Worth the time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/25 Full Review John W. I really enjoyed this film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/25 Full Review Tim W A haunting slow burn that gets better as it goes along. Alicia Silverstone and Karl Glusman give stellar performances and in particular Glusman steals the show for me. Highly recommend Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/06/25 Full Review Read all reviews
