After an extremist militant group threatens their lives, a young couple (Ryan Phillippe and Mena Suvari) is forced to flee their Christian missionary post in the Kalahari Desert. After being granted passage aboard a rickety plane, piloted by a corrupt smuggler (Emile Hirsch), their escape to safety is nearly in reach. But when their aircraft loses power and crash lands, they discover a bigger threat awaits them as they find themselves stranded in the middle of an animal preserve populated by man-eaters -- lions, leopards, and hyenas. Injured, frightened, and being tracked by the extremists, this ragtag group of passengers must fight for survival from both man and beast where only the strong will survive.

Kevin Wight The Wee Review There’s always something mildly repulsive about narratives that credit God for a protagonist’s survival but apportion no blame to Him for putting them into that scrape in the first instance, and it’s even worse when the film itself is a stinker. Rated: 1 Sep 4, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider The plot’s too logic-deprived, the characters too wispy-thin, the situation too predictable, the seams of the production too visible. Jun 26, 2024 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Hirsch, who is nothing if not prolific, hasn’t had great luck with his recent roles, but dominates most of this film and gets to remind us what he’s capable of. Rated: 3/5 Apr 29, 2024 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media The best thing about this low-budget B thriller is its beautiful African nature footage, which seems to have come from a stock footage library. The human part of the story goes quickly and permanently off the rails. Rated: 2/5 Mar 29, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member So so B movie. Passes the time Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/30/24 Full Review Susan L What? I feel like there were many missing scenes. Where happened to the terrorist's jeep? Why didn't they take the terrorist's guns. Just no logic at all. Male lions hunting together? 🤯 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Sarah W Everything about this film was frustrating. Every decision the main characters chose made absolutely no sense. I felt like I was watching that geico commercial where the characters hide from the serial killer behind the chain saws. Ugh. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/24 Full Review Dan S I am not sure if I got the 2023 version, but could’ve had more actor development, not a bad film but not much acting skill development from the main characters. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/24/24 Full Review B M What in the 2024? This was offensive on every level. Slow, made no sense. Characters flat and entirely unlikeable. Main character is stuck in a broken craft in the open savannah and makes no effort to defend or barricade themself and injured partner. I won’t even get into the treatment of 'Africa'. Laughable. Truly. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review Kyle H Great cast but with that being said, I could never with a good heart ever suggest anyone watch it. Just really bland and predictable.
