After rescuing a colt from a flaming barn, Danny Lowman (James McCallion) gives the horse to Midge Griner (Edith Fellows) and her father, Col. Bob Griner (Granville Bates), who own a horse farm. Danny trains as a jockey and plans to ride the horse, named Gantry after his mother, through a successful racing career. But after Gantry loses an important race, Danny and the Griners learn that the horse is blind. Determined to make him a winner, Midge and Bob train Gantry to overcome his disability.
