Gritty, heart-rending finale to a fantastic series. Though slightly mellowed with time, DS Tennison is still a lonely bitch dedicated to solving murders. The fact that she's basically become the type of burned-out alcoholic she upstaged in the first series makes this so heart-rending: the character's become what she despised. How many of us can say the same? Great to see Bill Otley reprise his role as her former co-worker, DI Bell. The befriending and betrayal of Penny keeps our heroine's emotions churning throughout, and DS Tennison nearly doesn't have the will to see the case through to the end. Well scripted, acted, directed, - each of the previous 6 ground-breaking series should be watched as well.

This is one of the best Police Drama you may ever see, I've read that the previous parts are even better, but in "The Final Act", you are promised to see one of the best performance not just from the main character witch is done by Helen Mirren but also from every other actors and actresses..
Delightful and enjoyable.

Prime Suspect is a great cut-and-come-again cake. Any random slice is good.
