The telefilm has charm as well as minor failings, and location filming in Germany and France were worth the trip. Lee Holdridge has supplied an often sonorous score, and tech credits are solid. Go to Full Review

It's lively, colorful and never overly preachy. Go to Full Review

Emerson H. @movielover9 Sep 23 Was not a huge fan of the book, the movie is entertaining in parts, but soem stuff just doesn’t work well, also it takes like 30 -40 minutes for the movie to get going, overall it is entertaining in some parts, but I’d give it a 6.6/10,shocking this was a Disney channel film See more 12/31/2013 Great movie that teaches you about what life was like in the 1700s! See more 02/13/2011 Not very many people know about this film, but I think it's easily a very overlooked movie. The acting in this film is great, the sets are pretty good, the plot of course is classic as it's based on a fantastic book, and the climax is surprisingly exciting and engaging. The film goes into more detail than the book, because they were trying to stretch out the film, but still, it's done in a very well thought out way, that doesn't make it feel like padding. If you have a chance, check this movie out. It's a treasure just waiting to be discovered. 9.1/10 See more 02/19/2005 A good, entertaining family movie. See more Read all reviews
