See more 03/12/2021 Everyone knows the tale of Robin Hood. Stealing from the rich to give to the poor. The love of his life is Maiden Marian. But this story from the Wonderful World of Disney actually focuses on their daughter. This is Keira Knightly pre-Pirates of the Caribbean, she plays the titular Gwyn. She is kept safe from the adventurous lifestyle of her parents so no harm will come to her. Malcolm Macdowell as Sheriff of Nottingham still has a price on her fathers head but figures a daughter of his will be of no consequence. Jonathan Hyde as Prince John wants Robin Hood imprisoned. After he's captured, there seems to be no hope. But Gwyn isn't gonna stand by and let her father suffer. So she decides to become a warrior and a swift thief to challenge Prince John's power. The movie moves by fast, does its job servicing its audience to the target demographic, and Keira Knightly carries the role on her own. See more steve d 07/03/2020 Only Knightley gives it any spark.
