The film is light, witty, and fun, with a sprinkle of fairy tale that makes it even more charming. The narrative explores important themes like self-esteem, empathy, and the power of being a good example for other girls. The chemistry between Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez is the highlight of the film, and it's a pleasure to watch their interaction. Jamie Chung's performance as the "villain" is also great.

This is one of the best princess movies ever made, of any that do not involve the Disney princesses. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have great chemistry together as the princess and the daughter of the man who is the major that rescues the princess.
