Army Capt. Webb Sloane (Ronald Reagan) accepts an undercover mission to report on the suspected brutalities of North Korean POW camps during the Korean War. After parachuting down among prisoners marching toward the camps, Sloane discovers the truth behind the reported conditions -- communist brainwashing, fake executions and violent methods of behavior control cause the prisoners to live in terror of their captors. But despite the daily atrocities, the men prove their spirits cannot be broken.

Audience Member A decent enough low-budget war camp drama but it's delivery is extremely in your face with the anti-communist sentiment and there's little point to this movie other than a piece of a cold war propaganda. The best line comes in the first scene when Ronald Regan is told he'll be taking a course to learn something about communism as it may prove useful for the future.... how prophetic!
