Raechel Z Really exciting take on an old indie horror. Strong performances and spectacular cinematography. Loved the use of color and locations as well. The plot revolves around her life at home and her interactions with a new gardener. As the story unfolds, we discover that the gardener has a sinister agenda. He manipulates those around him, pretending to be someone he's not, with the ultimate goal of taking advantage of the young woman in a deeply troubling way. Unfortunately, I found the movie to be quite disappointing. At just 80 minutes long, it rushed through the storyline without giving viewers a chance to connect with the characters or feel any suspense. The narrative jumped straight into the action, and the protagonist's decisions felt implausible and rushed. The attempted assault scene was particularly jarring, as it was handled in a hurried manner with little buildup or depth. In the end, "Private Property" struck me as a poorly executed film with minimal storytelling. The acting left much to be desired, coming across as lackluster and unconvincing. Overall, it was a frustrating experience that failed to deliver on the promise of a gripping thriller. The music was horrible, the acting was just BAD, and there was next to no substance to the actual plot. I would give zero stars if I possibly could, because I'm pretty sure this entire remake only exists because some random guy in a basement just wanted an excuse to shoot footage of Ashley Benson in bathing suits.
