Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald This may be the first film ever made about the seething rage of the disenfranchised that succeeds in lulling you to sleep. Rated: 2/4 Feb 10, 2011 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Had the curtain come down 10 minutes sooner, it would have done so with a satisfying thump instead of a soggy swish. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 27, 2011 Full Review Andrew Schenker Slant Magazine If you haven't got anything new to say, at least find an interesting way to say it. Rated: 2/4 Jan 26, 2011 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) Rage is slow, gloomy, asphyxiating. [Full review in Spanish] Oct 5, 2022 Full Review Mattie Lucas From the Front Row A ghost story for the 21st century, a fine genre film with a truly original and surprising concept. Rated: 3/4 Aug 5, 2019 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International This unnecessarily grim study of immigrants suffers from a deadly pace and an even more deadly creeping pretentiousness. Audience Member Esas serán las consecuencias de buscar mejor vida en el exterior?? Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting, reasonably credible, well filmed sequence of events occasionally hinting at depths unplumbed. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member weird & puzzling a cross between a stalker movie and say "Pacific Heights" didn't really care for this the boyfriend was a psychopath. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Well made, taut and unpredictable drama about an illegal Latino immigrant in Spain whose inability to control his possessive/aggressive ways gets him and his new g.f. into hot water. Gripping tale feels a bit like a very well photographed play in one sense, with most of the story taking place in one house, albeit a very large house with many rooms and different angles to view them from. There's loads of suspense, with the plot literally pregnant with possibilities. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It's easy to admire the concept of Rabia, although is far more difficult to accept the narrative, specially José Maria's near one-year stay at Torres' residence.
