kevin w A look at several participants in a cross-country bicycle race across America, from San Diego, California to Atlantic City, New Jersey. Typically, everyone talks major smack before the race: "desire, willpower, strategy, concentration," etc., and then you get to see them eat their words in the face of long hours, grueling regimen, the temperatures hot and cold, the monotony, lack of sleep, and the real danger of their own bodies failure before these extremes. The work is fascinating despite the subject matter, while the inevitable question looms throughout the entire race: "why are they doing this to themselves?"
