Joy (Max Eigenmann) is an undocumented Filipino immigrant struggling to do the best she can to support her daughter, Grace (Jaeden Boadilla). Soon she secures the perfect job: taking care of an extremely wealthy but terminal old man. The new position pays well and guarantees a roof over their heads, but very soon, Joy and Grace start to realize everything is not as it seems. Something is festering beneath the surface, threatening all they have worked for.

The struggle to become a citizen is where we start our film journey, must be a true hardship on anyone seeking a new life, either for themselves or a family. So much treacherous things are coming to light, money truly does corrupt the soul of appears. This film is driving me all the wrong ways, so I guess it's doing its job with the actor's portrayal of such heinous individuals. The manipulation is so subtle and yet so powerfully wicked, finding it hard to comprehend how such vile behavior is considered to be deemed as acceptable to get what it is you desire. Although it does make for an extremely dramatic film, my mind still struggling, can't grasp the wickedness needed to accomplish such deeds.

A low budget British film with a rather contrived plot and cliched ending. The underlying social message of the attitude to foreign domestic help is not subtle and does not help. Occasionally the acting feels amateurish but that may lay with the script.
