Audience Member In a heartbreaking historical story the narrator and camera follow the lives of real Tuhoe in New Zealand. The story brings out the history, and the simple understanding of the native. The mix of theology and philosophy and the harshness of life lead forth to a community in pain and an individual who believes they caused the problems. Sadness is a heavy burden to carry alone. Nibbles: Pumpkin Pie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A fantastic Kiwi film! A must see Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member starts out as a useful biographical account of the life of a maori woman and the origins of the "curse" surrounding her. degenerates into a mawkishly sentimental film which clearly serves not as a tribute to a[n ironically] woman but a self indulgent film which is obviously supposed to show vincent ward can make at least 2 good films. it doesn't and there's no need to see it 2x, once was enough. a golden rule is broken: when the story stops the movie stops. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a beauty, mystical and humanly told. True legend of a Maori woman's strength for her survival. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Each head is a world... The world seen through her eyes... There are many stories on this planet, one for each one of us, but there are a few, particularly remarkable. This documentary (feature film) is about one of these stories, one that deserves to be heard. The disgrace of a "cursed" woman, looking for redemption... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member was a both awesome and moving story...... got to watch it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
