Audience Member Personally, I liked the film I had a lot of fun watching it. Bollywood films are known for not being very subtle and that trait was very apparent within the first fifteen minutes of the film. The film much of the time it felt did not take itself too seriously which I appreciated as I am not as much of a fan of constant melodrama in a romance film. I did feel midway through the movie that it started to drag on as the film is almost three hours long with a few scenes overstaying their welcome and dragging on a bit too long. One scene in particular that comes to mind is the restaurant scene with Raja's friend and Arati's maids as well as most of the maid's scenes throughout the film. I also thought a lot of the scenes of Raja and Aarti quarreling dragged on a bit too long. One thing I really enjoyed was the two villains in the story, Aarti's uncle and stepmom. They are both so both ridiculously and unredeemably evil and I think the two actors playing them had a lot of fun portraying the characters. My expectations going into the movie were tempered as I was unsure if a Bollywood style movie would be able to hold my attention but I was surprised with how much I liked it and I would recommend it to a friend who is looking to watch something different from a typical western film.
