Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Even when he’s prescriptive Youssef astutely unfolds quandaries and draws laughs from both the incongruous and normally unspoken. The answers here, like the punchlines, are never obvious. Mar 28, 2024 Full Review Jason Zinoman New York Times The comic takes a nuanced look at his own role as a Muslim celebrity and at the American response to conflict in the Mideast. Mar 28, 2024 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times His humor is as sharp an Obsidian blade, and his punchlines often land with a terrific and cheerfully politically incorrect sting. Rated: 3/4 Mar 22, 2024 Full Review Clare Martin Paste Magazine Throughout More Feelings, Youssef's carefully paced, casually delivered jokes are the framework for his own clear-eyed observations. This isn't just a comedy special, but a call to recognize and honor our shared humanity. Rated: 8.9/10 Mar 28, 2024 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider Youssef might not change your mind specifically about whom you’re voting for or what side you’re on politically, but hopefully he’ll get you thinking about how you engage with your friends... whether you’re on Instagram or at Olive Garden. Audience Member A lot of great things in this special (such incredible presence, pacing, connection with the audience), but everything feels uneven, unfinished, even not completely honest. Depending on how you understand it, one of the biggest storylines is either left hanging or, if you interpret the ending as a discrete way of resolving said storyline, it means the comedian justifies unspeakable abominations... I choose to believe it's left hanging. It all feels very talented and very unfinished. It also feels like Ramy is always hedging. Not the right topic to do so. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review David F This dude is super funny. But more so than funny, he's thoughtful, perceptive, and incredibly likeable. I see some young comics leaning into emotional storytelling that doesn't always vibe well in a standup setting. Every time I thought Ramy was going to do so, he turned it into something hilarious. For me, Youssef has found the perfect balance. I'm really glad this special introduced me to his work, and I look forward to watching him grow.
