Zen F Son of the Air Force here. Yes, let's have comedy/horror movies that feature the military who serve country so well. But let's make these films without the tired, sexist tropes of women and so many gay jokes that I have to wonder, who is repressing their feelings? Oh, as for the content, enjoy zombie on a school-lunch budget and goof-off acting from a group of wildly untalented bros. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/15/23 Full Review Deenie C This is nothing more than a smoldering pile of C-grade zombie rubbish, and to say it's great simply because it's "military" is a discredit to the U.S. Armed Forces. If, however, you're up for a teen-bully script and actors who effectively showcase the plight of involuntary celibacy, you've landed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/05/23 Full Review Dylan V This movie takes every great thing about zombie movies and does something else. Instant cult classic. So good I read Matt Best's book. Also good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Chad C If you are military, you'll love this. If you aren't, it probably will disgust you pretty quickly. The cast reads like a who's who of battlefield heroes…well, at least the ones who lived. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Chock full of humor that will make you most likely make you laugh if you've ever served in any branch, doubly so if you are already a fan of Mat Best, or any of the other vets at Black Rifle Coffee Company. It's a B-movie to the max, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Most of everyone who wrote bad reviews for this movie does not know the cast nor' get the humor, it was mainly made for veterans and was purposely made as low-budget because Hollywood would not accept them. Most reviews are people crying about homophobia and transphobia in the movie, but this is SUPER TAME compared to the military. Most people that disliked this movie just have a general hate for the US military from what I can see. The movie is fucking hilarious in retrospect, featuring real veterans like Mat Best, and real war heroes like Marcus Luttrel, the REAL lone survivor.
