john m All the performances and settings just feel so lived in. It's very natural and "fly-on-the-wall" which makes this work way more than you think it would. While I thought it would be annoyingly sentimental, and maybe at times it is, the performances give it absolute validation as a subtle, realistic character study on a specific age and lifestyle. Stephanie Watts One Room With A View A delight to watch, Rara takes its time to present a complex family full of three-dimensional characters. Rated: 4/5 Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Ignacio Navarro El antepenúltimo mohicano The denunciation yields to a will of impartiality that endows the story with a certain cosmopolitan credibility, by not highlighting almost any particularism and based on a cordial daily life. Pinilla Cinemanía (Spain) A film that doesn't hide its militancy, but that prefers to convince to the viewer with common sense and the sensitivity. [Full review in Spanish] Mar 29, 2017 Full Review Curtis Cook Willamette Week Director Pepa San Martn crafts the story so that Sara's family turmoil is never directly explained to the audience. Instead, we see the tension of adult drama through the confused and disillusioned eyes of a young girl coming of age. Rated: 3/4 Feb 8, 2017 Full Review Ernesto Diezmartinez Cine Vértigo A film that has a remarkable work of all its actors in a very functional staging that, curiously, starts with an elegant extended shot of almost three minutes in length. [Full review in Spanish] Jan 26, 2017 Full Review Felipe Tapia Cinetvymas.cl A film with a clear and straightforward approach that doesn't seek to experiment with brainy metaphors, and that's why it works quite well, and worth going to see it.
