Bill T Not knowing at all Crime and Punishment, I enjoyed this movie and story where it was based out of.. A Man questions whether it could be morally right to kill someone who wasn't, well, morally right. An interesting chain of events happens when he happens to do that, with people who think he did it, conveniently die, and those who the police THINK did it, happen to die as well, leaving a big guilty consicience in his head. The movie mood sure was interesting. No doubt influenced by Caligari, which had come out recently before this film was made. Sets go here and there, with wild angles! Definitely not for everyone, but it was interesting for what it was. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review andrey k I didn't like it as an adaptation of Dostoyevsky novel. It's just a copy of director's previous movie Caligari put in different but similar circumstances. But as a follower of Caligari it executed with all the traditions of German expressionism.
