Todd McCarthy Variety Unfortunately, this film makes the case seem even scuzzier than it already is with its overheated, incident-and-shot repeating style and ludicrous, faux-ominous music score that would be right at home on Inside Edition. Jan 15, 2008 Full Review Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald Although this may be no one's idea of a pretty story, Corben manages to make it utterly absorbing. Feb 7, 2002 Full Review Anthony Miele Film Threat This is a film that MUST be seen by men and women, together, if not to expose this amazing story to the world, then just to see how split down the middle men vs. women are in regards to the outcome. Rated: 4.5/5 Dec 6, 2005 Full Review B. Ruby Rich The Nation It's a dark, dark view of both frat life and contemporary morality. Dec 8, 2002 Full Review Eric D. Snider EricDSnider.com A strong, effective discussion of the issues at hand, and a powerful reminder that there are at least two sides to every story. Rated: A- Sep 18, 2002 Full Review Oz eFilmCritic.com We leave the cinema thinking 'what morons' instead of having our minds opened -- and that amounts to a fail. Audience Member A disturbing, bleak documentary examining evidence and opinion over the alleged rape at Delta Chi. Engrossing but stylised in away that makes it seem a little tacky . Very graphic. The story itself is fascinating but you would do just as well reading about it than watching this documentary. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member As Billy Corben's first documentary, RAW DEAL: A QUESTION OF CONSENT examines the blurry boundary between consensual sex and rape. It not only explore the rape and what happened after, it also explores the politics of the then-State Attorney's office. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
