TheMovieSearch R Razortooth is, without question, one of those painfully bad creature features that make you wonder how it even got greenlit. The movie, which is currently streaming, centers on a bizarre sea creature terrorizing a small town — a premise that could’ve been fun in that classic B-movie horror kind of way. Unfortunately, it fails on nearly every level imaginable. What should’ve been an entertaining guilty pleasure turns into a flat-out disaster from the opening scene to the end credits. The cast delivers one of the most uninspired performances I’ve seen in a long time. It’s as if every actor showed up on set completely unmotivated, waiting for the director to yell “cut” so they could go home. There’s no chemistry, no energy, and certainly no sense of fear — which is a problem when you’re supposed to be running for your life from a monstrous sea creature. Their performances are wooden, emotionless, and painfully disconnected, making it impossible for the audience to invest in anyone’s survival. The screenplay is an absolute trainwreck. The dialogue feels like it was written in a single night without any revision or logic. Characters say things that make no sense, jump from emotion to emotion with no buildup, and the story constantly contradicts itself. There’s no rhythm, no structure, and no effort to make the plot remotely believable — even by creature feature standards. Instead of suspense or tension, you get confusion and unintentional comedy. As for the direction, it’s clear that whoever was behind the camera had no control over what was happening on set. The transitions between scenes are abrupt and disjointed, with random tonal shifts that make you wonder if different people were directing different parts of the movie. The editing is equally dreadful — scenes drag on too long, others cut off too abruptly, and the creature effects look like they were pulled straight out of a low-budget 90s computer game. Even the sound design and score fail to help the film. The music feels misplaced, either too dramatic for what’s happening or completely absent when tension is needed most. The visual effects, meanwhile, are laughable at best. The titular monster — “Razortooth” — looks so fake that it actually makes Sharknado seem like a masterpiece by comparison. Overall, Razortooth isn’t just a bad movie — it’s a boring one. It’s one of those experiences that makes you question why you didn’t just turn it off halfway through. There’s no fun camp factor, no accidental brilliance, and no reason to revisit it. It’s the kind of film that will make you appreciate even the worst Syfy Channel movies because at least they try to entertain. If you’re looking for a cheesy monster flick that’s so-bad-it’s-good, this isn’t it. Razortooth is just bad — uninspired, lazily made, and forgettable in every way possible. Consider this one a hard pass unless you’re studying how not to make a horror movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/18/25 Full Review xpig332 B Incredibly bad, not in a good way! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/09/25 Full Review mark g Terrible acting, woeful writing and dismal direction, welcome to Razortooth! This film sucks. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review qalbi t It's good , but it has some flaws : the movies unrealistic , and a cliffhanger while they never made a sequel since 18 years. 8.3/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Audience Member I thought the creature in the movie was not the worst and the deaths are legal. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is very repetitive with the gory deaths. It almost seemed like people dieing was the whole plot. Also the guts and skeletons of the people were badly animated. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
