Catherine Chambers BBC.com Razzle Dazzle is a warm hearted yet meaningful affair that sparkles with wit and charm -- and guarantees you'll leave the cinema with a large grin on your face. Rated: 4/5 Apr 27, 2016 Full Review Megan Lehmann Hollywood Reporter The affection with which the breezy Australian mockumentary Razzle Dazzle: A Journey Into Dance tweaks the twinkle-toed denizens of the competitive dance scene makes it easy to like. Apr 27, 2016 Full Review Andrew Pulver Guardian Like many mock-docs, it struggles to establish the patina of reality, but it makes up for it with some very funny jokes. Rated: 3/5 Apr 27, 2016 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Some good clean and irreverently funny family fun thanks to a whole lot of Razzle Dazzle. Nov 3, 2019 Full Review Edward Lawrenson Screen International Intermittently amusing. Chris B This stand up comedian's Netflix special was absolutely hilarious. It was well written with great punchlines and Bert had excellent timing and delivery. Every joke was well thought out and I highly recommend watching it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/15/23 Full Review Audience Member All words are inadequate when describing the splendour of a junior dance troupe interpreting "evil scientists versus rabbits". The most awesome Mockumentray ever, Drop Dead Gorgeous plus plus plus. Amazing acting, the kids are outstanding. Amazing costuming. Go, see! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This was such a fun movie. When it started I was afraid that it would only be a mockumentary about young girls that are pushed into beauty pageants and dance competitions by their mothers and quickly realized that the thrill of the competition was more important. The girls were great and the mothers were obnoxious. Mr. Jonathan might no have been a "normal" dance troupe leader but you had to cheer for him and his crazy girls and staff. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A Low key film that had a few good moments. good acting. Jane Hall and Kerry Armstrong quite good performances. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This film has been under-rated. It deserves more glory than "Strictly Ballroom". Art doesn't only reflect reality, it should also be inspiring. This film is full of Australian virtues with a global appeal. A true Australian pride. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice little Australian spoof documentary on the world of kids dance comps, and their over-bearing mothers. Ben Miller takes the movie and rises it up a notch with his great take on the ethical dance instructor. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
