Re/Member works best when resting on its horror aspects rather than the actual drama. Go to Full Review

Hasumi’s Re/Member is, in short, a pleasant experience that succeeds in offering both the thrills of a horror-slasher as well as a touching exploration of romantic and amical feelings. Go to Full Review

For many, however, by the time the "big monster" shows up, the film will have already devolved into an illogical and silly exercise, and for some, the final third will be laughably goofy. Go to Full Review

A pleasant surprise for viewers without prejudices towards the tropes of juvenile cinema. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Re/Member does not bring anything new to the time loop concept, nor does it particularly satisfy as a teen movie outside its plot gambit. Go to Full Review

It’s always difficult to capture the same essence from the pages of the illustrations and that’s where this film falters. Go to Full Review

Logan M Dec 9 If you're looking for a horror movie through and through, this movie probably won't work too well. However if you're willing to stick it out for the cool scenes - and can appreciate some gore - this movie is just fine See more Aluna U Sep 24 Re/Member (2023), adapted from the manga Karadasagashi, combines horror and drama through a time-loop concept but struggles with inconsistent tone and shallow character development. The film's horror elements lack impact due to rushed pacing, uneven lighting, and underwhelming monster design, which makes suspense hard to feel. Despite its flaws, the movie remains mildly entertaining and offers a few valuable lessons about friendship and courage. It does have an interesting take on the core concept, giving the loops more purpose but I couldn’t help but think it would be better suited to a survival horror game. There are some odd choices and tonal shifts that feel more natural than they should so that was a pleasant surprise. I liked the monster, it was pretty cool. I didn’t like the ending, it was frustrating. Overall I mostly enjoyed my time watching this film but I probably won’t watch it ever again or remember it next week.
