Kristian R This movie reminds me about The Office tv show and Parks and Rec. It also reminds me of how comedy is the cure for when you are having a bad day. Amazing acting and script. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/22/23 Full Review Ian C Stellar. It's been a while since I've sat down to watch a comedy that wasn't entirely predictable and hackneyed, not to say this was either. In fact, it was fresh and punchy. Please forgive the odd frame of reference, but the average Adam Sandler movie yields one quality laugh. In terms of laughs, "Re-Opening" scored thusly is the equivalent of roughly 36 Adam Sandler movies. Extra to delivering on laughs, the movie succeeded as a commentary on the pandemic without exploiting punchlines we've all used to death on Zoom meetings in recent years. Go see it in theaters while you still can — or risk only getting to stream it the next time the state forces you into your domicile. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/10/23 Full Review Rob E Yes And! If you're a fan of the Eugene Levy style mockumentaries like "This Is Spinal Tap," "A Mighty Wind," and "Waiting for Guffman," this is the movie for you. It absolutely skewers the entire process of operating a business during the Covid pandemic. It is well acted and like the Levy movies the dialogue is all improvised. Watched this during the premiere last week and it was fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/10/23 Full Review Katarina B It's a cathartic experience watching all of the absurdities of the pandemic-era taboos played out in a witty, genuinely belly-laughing comedy. Unlike most things associated with the pandemic era, this movie brings people together by showing the absurdities that we all experienced, regardless of party affiliation. No matter what side of the political aisle you find yourself, this film will have you laughing at these all-too-relatable experiences. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/23 Full Review Michael G This was such a fun movie to watch. Reminded me of The Office. The acting was really good, and not just for an indie film. You ended up really rooting for the characters by the end. I never thought the global pandemic (or at least our reaction to it) could be so funny.
