Terry Richmond enters the town of Shelby Springs on a simple but urgent mission-- post bail for his cousin and save him from imminent danger. But when Terry’s life’s savings is unjustly seized by law-enforcement, he’s forced to go head to head with local police chief Sandy Burnne and his combat-ready officers. Terry finds an unlikely ally in court clerk Summer McBride and the two become ensnared in a deep-rooted conspiracy within the remote township. As the stakes turn deadly, Terry must call upon his mysterious background to break the department’s hold on the community, bring justice to his own family-- and protect Summer in the process.

Prior to all the hype, i was really expecting a smart action movie but unfortunately was disappointed in the end. The buildup from the start of the movie was good but then it just felt like i was watching an episode of Reacher but the only difference is really less action. Except maybe a hand combat fighting scene since he is an expert in one and the ending which also i wouldn't say it is a proper action scene just the hero shooting and escaping from the corrupt cops. Only thing i liked about this movie is the casting of Aaron Pierre (a potential star in the making) & Don Johnson as the main antagonist. Just a one time watch for me.

Mid-sized sedan vs the world! Good story that doesn't hit you over the head with the societal, and political messaging. Sort of a Rambo vibe to it, but in it's own unique way of telling it.. he is way more put together, but he has that "vet, utility, man on his own" thing going on. It has the indie summer backdrop which is the weirdest thing to gush over, but I love it. It's a staple of smaller movies. Anna-Sophia Robb is always a fun addition. She is way overlooked. Don Johnson is electric. This movie is a lot fun if you are into substance, and style. Thank you!
