Wendy Ide Observer (UK) The film runs out of momentum, finding itself ensnared in a needlessly complicated web of intrigue and administrative shenanigans. Rated: 3/5 Sep 10, 2024 Full Review Kambole Campbell Little White Lies ... A sharp and very memorable thriller, hopefully to the point that it’s seen as widely as possible. Rated: 4/5 Sep 9, 2024 Full Review James Dyer Empire Magazine Firmly establishing Aaron Pierre’s credentials as a thinking man’s Rambo, Rebel Ridge might not be particularly groundbreaking, but this Netflix-and-kill thriller is an undeniably fun night in. Rated: 4/5 Sep 9, 2024 Full Review Daniel Rester Battle Royale With Cheese Rebel Ridge is a smart action thriller in the First Blood mode and is elevated by Pierre’s terrific central performance. Sep 15, 2024 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …a tough, escalating small scale drama/thriller that ends up delivering the goods when it comes to visceral, engaging action…like Terry Richmond, Rebel Ridge gets its tactics spot-on, and puts us all on the side of the good guys... Rated: 4/5 Sep 14, 2024 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene It’s smart, tense, and yet it never devolves into a high-body-count fantasy. It walks right up to the edge of overkill, but never crosses the line. Rated: B Sep 14, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Reacher-esque in all the right ways. Favorite line from a corrupt cop's dismayed shock, "He has his own Wikipedia page?!" Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Keizi C Rebel Ridge IS A CAPTIVATING THRILLER that cranks up the tension from the beginning to the very end! It’s methodical, the cast is terrific, but Aaron Pierre has BIG action star potential & brings an intense nuanced presence without absolving emotion. WATCH IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN! The plot unfolds over the course of film but the conflict starts from the very beginning. It’s simple, yet effective, with twists and turns taken throughout the film that surprise you just when you thought you knew everything. Jeremy Saulnier crushed it directing this. It isn’t the action movie some might expect but that’s why this works. The cast is great and really keeps you guessing what might happen next. The conflict is tense and tangible but never distracts the heart and sense of community this film has. The Reacher vibes are RADIATING! Rebel Ridge knows exactly what it is & executes it superbly. It’s poignant but simultaneously tense, has levity but the conflict at hand has true darkness. It’s the type of film that rewards your investment and trust me, that won’t be hard considering I was glued to the screen! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Michael A Unexpectedly quiet with more attention to the characters than I expected. Brilliantly acted and beautifully shot. This was supposed to be a dumb action thriller, but it's certainly not. There certainly is the suspension of disbelief in certain parts, but welcome to the movies. Watched it three times. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Audience Member This is a great example of an entertaining action movie with out the violence and gore that’s so common now. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Matt G Started off okay, but then really bogged down on the middle and completely fizzled in the end. Found myself looking at my watch about half way through. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Natasha D "Rebel Ridge" was a great film, but the ending left me wanting more. It felt like something was missing, as if there was another layer waiting to be uncovered. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Read all reviews
