Audience Member This turned out to be a somewhat less than satisfying cinematic experience, and I am not entirely sure why. The premise was interesting, the actors competent and beautiful enough to make the eventual triangle seem plausible, but the emotional core seemed a bit hollow. It is almost as if the director lacked the courage to fully delve into the sexual ambiguity and the unfamiliar desires that were precipitated by the interjection of this free spirited woman into a marriage that was on shaky ground. The underpinning motivations were obscured somewhat by the ambivalence of the husband and wife. But for all that, I was still fairly interested to see where this one would go. I was just somewhat disappointed when it finally got there. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Confusing, weird, odd. The three characters get tangled together in an odd plot, and well then the movie just ends. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It must be strange to see the world through the eyes of a painter. The central character is Mary, who paints in her own blood. Her husband's model plays at seducing them both, individually, ostensibly for her own pleasure but it really seems like she just wants control. Mary has a fan club of sorts, the Bloody Marys, whose head Fran is a disturbed woman. There was something compelling about this movie, although you won't be missing anything if you skip it. If you like this kind of drama - no action or comedy - give it a try. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
