Audience Member The imagery was a little much, but it was a good story, and well executed low budget horror Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review vekine b Very terrifying film... Patrick Stewart plays one nasty villain... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's the wrost movie i watch im my life its disgusting and the end is stupid 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Red Room is a body horror film that borrows aspects of slasher films, and pays homage to other films such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, House of 1,000 Corpses and Switchblade Romance. The story follows Kyra, a struggling single mother who is kidnapped off the streets and held captive in a room of an isolated house with two other women, Alison and Lily. There, they await their turn to enter the titular Red Room, being dragged in one by one. Brilliant actor performances, great soundtrack, lighting and camerawork carry us through the narrative, and the film's pacing is perfect. Red Room never fails to keep you interested in the plot. Its premise is disturbing, and makes you feel like you are watching something that really should not be watched, even with subtle remarks on consumerism, masculine entitlement, social media, and the ignorance of the ruling classes. Of course, Red Room is not perfect. There are several strange characters introduced throughout, and Red Room's storyline thickens as a result. While at first this is a good thing, it seems to be a little bit too ambitious for a film that is reasonably short. Nonetheless, I would recommend Red Room to any horror fan, and is definitely one of the most unique Irish Horror films I have seen in a long time.
