Audience Member This was surprisingly GOOD! It's different, clever, interesting and has a surprising end! Give it shot! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review andy f A cut above the usual slasher. The start and finish of the film being particularly inventive. The air of mystery keeps you on edge and this one is definitely worth a look. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member An at home sick movie. not great, not terrible. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Reeker is a fun, old-fashioned horror film romp that resembles slow burn monster films of the 70's and 80's that is sadly underrated it seems. I really enjoyed my time with this intriguing - albeit very familiar in feeling - horror film. You know the drill: A group of college kids set out to go to a big concert in the desert with the intent of sex, drugs, and partying. However, on their way there and some disputes among the group involving stolen drugs, their car breaks down at an abandoned rest stop. So, since they have nothing to do but wait it out since the roads are also closed, they stay at the rest stop, but it turns out they're not alone as they originally thought because a foul-smelling and unknown thing is hunting them and now they must survive and find a way out of this desert hell. While the film has a number of familiar ideas and feels familiar as a whole, I really enjoyed it because it reminds me a lot of 70's and 80's horror films, while also leaving a lot of mystery and intrigue behind what the monster truly is, and also features a what-the-fuck ending that will leave even more unanswered questions. Plus, as is the course of horror films from the era, there is bloody violence, sex, nudity, dumb college kids, funny humor, creepy moments, a whole lot of fun to be had in this old-fashioned horror romp. Reeker is very underrated and I recommend it to fans of slow burn horror films with a retro touch to them. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie could have been epic...if it actually tried. You can read my full review at... http://revronmovies.blogspot.com/2013/12/reeker.html Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Along the way, we've all crossed paths with what may have been the "worst movie ever made". Some time ago I decided to stop making such an unsubstantiated call. Then, this evening, I found this movie on Sky Movies. The characters, the dialogue ('Didn't you just go to the bathroom already?' 'Tell that to my bladder') and the acting was awful, and... actually that's enough. Take that away from any film and you have a bunch of set pieces which either work or they don't, but it's not a film in any kind of enjoyable sense. Oh and one other thing, (SPOILER ALERT) Q: What is the first thing you are told when writing an English essay? A: NEVER end it with it was all just a dream!!!
