Audience Member Snoop Dogg seems likeable and at first I was interested in his story, but the whole thing is just a blatant marketing attempt and, most importantly, I couldn't TAKE the endless parade of hideous adidas tracksuits. How they every convinced anyone that shit looks good I'll never know. I gave up halfway through, about 10 tracksuits in. (Flavoring via Emirates t-shirts occasionally). Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This was much better than I thought it was going to be. If you are a fan of Snoop, reggae, Bunny Wailer or Jamaican culture, watch this, you will laugh, and get some insight. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I little insight into snoops smoking and lion world Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I've been wondering how to review this for a while since I finished it. On one hand, Snoop Dogg is a lovable, funny, wildly intelligent character that lights up the screen but on the other the whole 'movie' feels a little unguided and pointless. As a piece of entertainment, Reincarnation is a fun 1hr38m but as a solid documentary it all feels a bit faded...and not in the good way. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This had a chance for greatness but just doesn't get there. Snoop is a greatly interesting character on a journey. Too bad they didn't take a good producer along with them. It's just a let-the-cameras-run doc. Whenever things can really be revealing they back away. Kind of interesting as a bts movie, but it misses out overall. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved seeing the roots of the Rastafarian religion in Jamaica but I'm not too sure if Snoop Dogg excuse me Snoop Lion is really that committed. Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk Anything beyond 'Jah' and 'peace and love' is lost in a fog of weed but classic moments such as a perma-stoned Snoop trying to scrump a grapefruit off a tree are unintentionally hilarious. Rated: 2/5 Sep 1, 2017 Full Review Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) You suspect the camera crew returned from Jamaica with about 20 minutes of usable footage. Rated: 1/5 Mar 22, 2013 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard One can't help thinking that if you've tasted all the spoils it is much easier to give the sweet life up - while still riding around in a Rolls, of course. Rated: 2/5 Mar 22, 2013 Full Review Tom Watson CineVue For a film endeavouring to chronicle a 41-year-old stoner attempting to soberly walk down the path of enlightenment, Capper's Reincarnated ultimately loses track in the presence of stardom. Rated: 3/5 Feb 13, 2019 Full Review T'Cha Dunlevy Montreal Gazette The film is most convincing as a musical travelogue, drifting through clouds of weed smoke toward some form of Doggy-Lion enlightenment. If not taken too seriously, it's kind of a blast. Rated: 3/5 Mar 28, 2013 Full Review Malcolm Jack The List All told - and this film knows exactly who its audience is - a reminder of what famously enriching company habitual stoners are.
