Just released from prison, all Rudy Duncan (Ben Affleck) wants is to start a new life with Ashley (Charlize Theron), the girl of his dreams, whom he met through pen pal letters in prison. It's a Fun Movie. Personally, I'd watch it any day over the over-rated Die Hard. Both of which qualify as X-Mas movies. That said, you gotta watch the Directors Cut only. It's got some decent action, chase scenes, some suspense and good performances. All around solid B movie.

Not sure what some people are confused about. The plot is not hard to follow. This is a perfectly fine Farrelly Brothers-like movie. Maybe some should watch it without being stoned.

I'm a sucker for action movies set during Christmas. I also love a classic hardboiled neo-noir (think Fargo or Pulp Fiction). Sadly, while this movie promised both, it's contrived, overly-convoluted plot kept this movie from being truly great. Had the creators fleshed out one of their half-baked ideas, maybe I wouldn't have had to suspend my disbelief as often and the twist ending might've had a greater impact.

Too many twists, at first it was awful but then all changes, and then all changes all over again, so I don't know… I guess I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. All things aside the interpretation of Charlize Theron it's mind blowing.
