Bruce DeMara Toronto Star Melissa Bergland is likeably larger than life in the lead but the script sorely lacks enough of the witty dialogue and humour the story requires. Even worse, it's awfully predictable. Rated: 2/4 Apr 9, 2015 Full Review Norman Wilner NOW Toronto Bergland's a strong lead, though, and in Lexie's cranky-caring scenes with best friend Susie (Susan Kent) we can glimpse the much more engaging, and considerably funnier, movie that might have been. Rated: 2/5 Dec 18, 2015 Full Review Catherine Brown FILMINK (Australia) An unabashedly paint by numbers rom-com, despite its plethora of faults Relative Happiness is rendered watchable by an ingratiatingly offbeat charm and the effortless likeability of its leading lady. May 12, 2015 Full Review Chris Knight National Post A low-key second feature from director/co-writer Deanne Foley (Beat Down), the film does nothing amazing, but nothing wrong either. Nothing wrong with that. Rated: 3/4 Apr 9, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews
