Marcel H This movie had me cracking up. I loved it. It was hilarious! Especially just a bit later in the film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Shannon L Weird one I found on Hoopla! Feels like someone's passion project. Fun little take on time-travel (what *would* it be like for the average joe instead of an action hero... and what if they had *reasons*) with characters you both love and want to repeatedly shake. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review kate b I'm different, I would let Rhys Darby bury as many microwaves on my property as he wanted, for free! But in all seriousness, I'm so glad we badgered TPTB into getting a showing in the Boston area. We had great fun at a genuinely funny flick, that managed to both give me what I wanted as a Darby Diehard and surprise me. Huge love for Gabrielle Graham playing the straight man who is neither, but very much the heart of the story :) Every character was so handcrafted and delightful. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Felix T Started strong, but once the joke was told, there was still 45 minutes of runtime left. Some of the sardonic messages are worth the watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Matt G Wasn't funny, at all. How is this considered comedy? This is one of the rare times where the audience score and mine are way, way, way off. Something smells fishy here. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/23 Full Review Eri V I like how this movie outlines some of the most narcissist traits of this modern society to turn them into dust, in a blowing hello! But of course, hearing and seeing that our lives and convictions are nothing but jokes compared to the march of Time can feel a bit unfunny for some specific audience. Nick Allen RogerEbert.com A sci-fi comedy with a modest sense of humor but tangled message to share with humankind. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 22, 2023 Full Review Alistair Lawrence Common Sense Media Almost a slacker movie at heart, Relax, I'm from the Future does make an effort to utilize Casper's future-world wisdom to point out more than just the results of major sporting events. Apr 23, 2024 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Relax, I’m From the Future fares best in its appealing, oddball opening stretch... Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 14, 2023 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse A quickly paced slice of silly speculative fiction buoyed by the energetically off-kilter comedy stylings of Rhys Darby. He’s an edgy Mork from Ork, an otherworldly being, charmingly childlike but not above doing the drugs Holly offers him. Rated: 3/5 Oct 5, 2023 Full Review John Kirk Original Cin Not so much a sci-fi story as an absurdist’s approach to the whole paradoxical nature of the concept of time travel. It’s a film that gives us permission to say, ‘To hell with it all’ and just accept the story instead of dwelling on it. Rated: B+ Oct 4, 2023 Full Review Anthony Greene Spectrum Culture By the time the film drags to its conclusion, the frenetic anything-goes energy of its first act is long forgotten and the only way to get that good feeling back is to travel back to the beginning.
