Steve D How did they convince this talent to make this bad a film? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun popcorn flick. Some action and laughs. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/18 Full Review Audience Member Fun B movie action with Burt Reynolds and Liza Minnelli. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Quite a good cast is assembled for an almost complete waste of time. Burt is totally coasting here and Minnelli is really getting too old to play parts like this. James Remar adds quite a bit of intensity (the scene where you find out why he's called "Dancer" is worth the price of admission), but it's really not enough to justify sitting through this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Hui kauheaa miten huono. Mahdollisesti huonoin koko vuonna tähän asti. Liza Minellin olisi ehkä kannattanut harjoittaa roolihahmonsa ammattia mielummin kuin vetää maineensa lokaan tässä taideteoksessa. Huijui, miten huono. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member One would reasonably expect that the pairing of Burt and Liza would be electric. Unfortunately that was not the case here. I liked Burt's wardrobe of Chicago Bears clothing but casting Liza as a high priced call girl was questionable. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Walter Goodman New York Times Jerry London's direction is efficient but lacking in the touch or the material needed to mate a romantic comedy with a run-of-the-studio shoot-'em-down. May 21, 2003 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Rent-A-Cop is a collision between a relationship and a cliche, and the cliche wins, but not before the relationship has given us some nice moments. Rated: 2/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Juan Carlos Coto South Florida Sun-Sentinel On the surface, it sounds fascinating, but Rent-A-Cop's story is far from compelling, mostly be cause this "romantic thriller" is neither romantic nor thrilling it s conventional and convoluted. Rated: 2/4 Aug 19, 2021 Full Review Cathy Burke United Press International Rent-a-Cop barely packs five bucks worth of action, suspense and romance.
