Regal R 85/100 - great film, keanu reeves and gene hackman are quite a duo. the synergy between all the characters peppered with some good clean humor makes this film gold. a classic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Russ H Funny but not a good movie CP Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Vicki B Wonderful, feel-good movie. Keanu Reeves is perfect for it. Loved the humor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review Richard F Yeah, it's somewhat predictable, but the characters pull it off. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review Test T This was just too shallow to keep my attention. It's like watching a series of sports montage clips, interspersed with some occasional random violence. The fact that I know very little about American Football just added to the frustration as I tried to figure out what was going on during the games. There's lots of team infighting too, both on and off the field which just adds to the confusion. I had hoped that Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves might make it watchable, and they do try, but ultimately the story is just not good enough. Thinking positively, I did like the soundtrack, and the cheerleaders who provided a much needed dose of glamour and humour to the otherwise testosterone overdosed mayhem. As you may have realised, I did not like this movie, and would struggle to recommend it.
