It's late in the season; the playoffs are fast approaching; and the Washington Sentinels have just gone on strike. Scrambling for a solution, the Sentinels' owner Edward O'Neil hatches a plan to bring in legendary coach Jimmy McGinty to recruit a team of replacement players in exactly one week. For fans and owners alike, the strike is a disaster. But for Shane Falco and a mismatched crew of outsiders, it is the second chance they've waited their whole lives for.

The cliched characters and obvious outcome make all the fun and excitement amount to nothing.

John M Jul 31 I absolutely loved this movie and have probably watched it 20 times. It won't win any oscars but if their was a definition of a Guy film that will put a smile on your face, this is it. Great comedic writing, extremely likeable characters, great underdog story and a must watch in this CGI world of crap movies. See more Dylan T Feb 27 When I think about it, this movie is an all timer. Funny, heart felt, and the sport scenes honestly aren’t bad. Gene Hackman was great. RIP brother See more Debbie T Dec 30 It's a good movie for old fashioned entertainment, 1980's style. All the 1980's "feels" in a football movie, it is simply fun. See more Garrison S Dec 24 One of my all time favorite movies and a must watch for football fans. With a top tier cast and lovable characters, this movie doesn't get old. The cherry on to is it acts as a time capsule for those of us who grew up watching John Madden and Pat Summerall call games. This film has only become better with age. See more Read all reviews
