A complete tonal mess, Retro can't decide if it wants to be a brutal action film or a wacky lighthearted comedy. It's a strange and idiotic story about a gloomy thug who has to learn how to laugh. Song-and-dance numbers are awkwardly thrown into the mix.

Definetly not a Karthik Subburaj Movie. Compared to other recent movies this is much better and some scenes are great. Young Villian did well his role apart from Surya.

I have to give a poor rating because this script was horrible and they were trying to go in too many directions in this movie, which made it a mess. They didnt know what to do with it. It could have been good. The stupid rubber gang plot was over the top dumb.

WOW..This is the type of Suriya move that we all are missing a loooong time. Superb movie with outstanding stunt sequences. Music and BGM took the theatrical experience to a different level. It's one of the best movie from Karthik subbaraj after Petta.
