The story – whatever, the characters – mostly irrelevant; it's all about the fighting, breathing exercises, and booming sound effects. Good stuff! The appeal is more gritty Sonny Chiba action in the role that made him super famous. Some good fights. Not as boldly violent as the predecessor. Some great looks at Karate training and weapons. See more 08/05/2016 Sonny Chiba is back in this sequel to the seminal martial arts grindhouse action film "The Street Fighter." In this Sequel Terry Tsurugi takes on the Yakuza, but he's saddled with a very goofy female partner, who really drags the movie down. The fights here are still brutal and savage and likely equal the original film, but the comic relief is what really made me not like this film as much. See more Read all reviews
