Marc K Enjoyable movie with two great stars Kerr & Mitchum who were past their prime but wonderful to see them again. Red Button - the usual wacky performance. Loved him in Sayonara Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/25/24 Full Review Mike M OK, this is a lower budget made-for-TV movie; but that doesn't distract from the outstanding performances and close chemistry between Mitchum and Kerr! Having served in the USAF in the UK (albeit decades later), I can appreciate the premise of young lovers during the war. Adding Judi Trott as the anti-American, anti-nuke grand daughter Mitchum never knew he had adds a good protagonist to the plot. Kerr is just her wonderful self, and plays her role to perfection. Mitchum simply proves why he was such an icon of an actor. By today's standards, it's no Lifetime movie but that's not a bad thing. The storyline is believable and the actors fitting their roles perfectly. Only Buttons is a bit overdone, something he was known for; the rest were naturals. Perhaps this film is more suited to sentimental types, but it is a little-known project that deserves more attention and respect. I first saw it nearly 40 years ago and I still enjoy watching it again, which is the mark of an excellent movie! Give it a chance, you'll be pleasantly surprised! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review dean k Very credible characters with very touching and realistic memories! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review SICKS6SIX 77% from me for this Anglo USA film set in the days of CND (mid 80s) a USA pilot returns to the UK for a squadron reunion and finds out he is the grandfather of a girl whose mother he never knew about, she is involved with the local CND group (what teenager wasn't in 1985) it's a mushy'ish film, some quality acting but a story line that just wanders about aimlessly most of the time, I'm not sure what the film is about, if it is about anything, we hate the USA because they're going to nuke Russia from UK bases, but we love the USA because they flew bombing missions to Germany during WW2 from the UK, and the question is, WHY did this film get made, They must have had some money left over from something else and a load of actors who were not working so thought how about a trip to Lincolnshire/Norfolk and make this film, Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/22 Full Review Audience Member Excellent and accurate for WWII buffs Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
