The monstrous and realistic construction of Revenge demands a lot from the lead performance, and Matilda Lutz delivers masterfully everything that is imposed on you to endure. Presenting a theme that has been explored many times before, Revenge manages to create a bloodier and more violent plot than many have attempted, delivering an agonizing and desperate ending with a protagonist unable to accept death.

The plot is so stupid this movie would be better marketed as a comedy because the constant nonsensical actions of the characters is almost laugh out loud. This movie would be more entertaining if they supplied some of the magical mushrooms the girl took to become a surgeon, munitions expert, and pyrotechnic genius, overnight. Don’t understand all the glowing reviews unless people were coerced.

One of the worst films I've ever watched. It doesn't make any sense, from the beginning to the end. The protagonist starts as a silly Barbie and all of a sudden turns into a mix between a superhero and Rambo, with no explanation. She survives a long fall into a tree that pierced through her, she loses litres of blood but "it's just a scratch". Then she discovers she has surviving skills, know how to use weapons and is able to fight trained men? Also, a lot of unnecessary gore scenes. But the average critics score is the one of a masterpiece, so what do I know?
