steve d The actors are strong and giving it their all, but the writers best idea is the films name. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The look wasn't that bad for a low budget indie flick. The acting was not the greatest, but the script was terrible. There is nothing that makes the audience care about the characters in this film. Predictable and poor plot and resolution decisions. The apocalyptical backdrop was essentially irrelevant. Anyone giving this movie high praise is schilling or virtue signaling. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Riot Girls builds its world splendidly; it's a shame the actual adventure fails to impress the same way. Still a fun ride. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a decent enough movie to watch if you're looking for a pass time. But it's not one that I would watch again. And certainly not one that I will remember in a few weeks time. The story itself isn't half bad. It just needed a lot more kick-ass and action. Which it so badly lacked. The characters were portrayed well by each of the young actors. Although the 'bad guys' were the most annoying group of lads I have ever come across in a movie! Basically when the movie had finished all I was left thinking was - Eh... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Ticking off the tropes of communism one by one under a propagandist wing of insanity. Thanks for the garbage but keep it where it belongs, trash bins. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Was pretty bad. Terrible acting and production., Reminded me of a after school Canadian tv show or something. Seemed like they put way to much makeup on the boys and not enough on the girls. All in all this one blew chunks. Had a few fun violent moments but nothing to rave about. Just overall bad in every aspect. Anne T. Donahue Globe and Mail At least in Riot Girls, we have Nat and Scratch to keep us afloat. But you do leave the film asking yourself what any of us are doing to fight against those same things. Rated: 3.5/4 Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times A splashy, bloody take on "Lord of the Flies" with a rock 'n' roll spirit. Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Michael Nordine TheWrap There's a youthful energy reminiscent of We Are the Best!! and Sing Street, and not just because the energetic soundtrack plays a key role. Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse A throwback to grindhouse genre films but with a new and improved attitude. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 31, 2021 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See The cinematic equivalent of a 90-second punk song; it gets in, goes fast, and whips up the crowd. Messy but urgent, this is all scrappy underdog attitude, righteous fury, and a sharp explosion of pent up rage. Rated: B+ Jun 26, 2020 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault "Riot Girls" is both retrograde and progressive, which fits this polarized time. Vuckovic's direction is assured, steady and earthy; the images and sound have a pleasing solidity. Rated: B Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
