Élise thought she had the perfect life: an ideal boyfriend and a promising career as a ballet dancer. It all falls apart the day she catches him cheating on her with her stage backup; and after she suffers an injury on stage, it seems like she might not be able to dance ever again. The path to physical and emotional recovery will lead her away from Paris to a picturesque location in Brittany -- where her friends, a new love and the freedom of contemporary dance will help her reconnect with her father and most importantly, herself. A heartwarming and inspiring story that tells us how sometimes, the worst thing that could happen may turn out to be the best.

Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News It’s a lovely film, filled often with lovely dancers who adjust their dreams accordingly. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 8, 2023 Full Review Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) The pure joy of creation and artistry. It's sounds so corny when I say the words, but it's presented in such an understated way. Jun 6, 2023 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Breezy, charming love letter to the art form [dance], its tight-knit communities, and what nourishes the impulse to find healing expression in movement. Jun 2, 2023 Full Review Paula Farmer culturevulture.net Where many directors have their best work behind them, Kaplisch is actually getting better with age and every subsequent film. This feel good dance movie, with a message may be his best movie yet, and most definitely his best looking. Jun 30, 2023 Full Review Wade Major FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) You really don't know where it's going, and when you finally get to that place there's a sense of awe. Jun 6, 2023 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue While the melodramatic screenplay sometimes feels flat-footed, the film intimately examines the physical and emotional fragility of the ballet world with perception and empathy. Luke S I really didn't want to watch a ballet film. Sorry. But I struggled to find anything negative about it, so went in expecting to walk out 40 mins later. I was wrong and you were all right. I punched the air at the end and thought it was a heartfelt delight, and got totally swept away. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/07/23 Full Review Suellen C Dancing was fabulous and Im not a true fan of modern dance but it made me appreciate it. The lead dancer/star was unusually phenomenal in both genres. Great casting in generating a world community of dance that transcends politics Many life lessons as well, that I will remember and use in my daily life. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/23 Full Review Robb D You know that when the RT "Critics" give something a 100%, it's most likely pretty bad in actual reality. Well, this one is no exception to that rule. Horrible...drab...dry...and absolute GARBAGE. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review Manuel M In some way, it's a perfect film. But the abundance of common places, a tasteless script and overall, the lack of development of the characters, make "En Corps" an experience with some tedious flavour. At the middle of the movie we don't know who Elise Gautier is, and at some point, we just don't care any more. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/04/23 Full Review Melissa P Very enjoyable movie, terrific performances Marion Barbeau has tons of charisma, Klapisch's deft, charming touch propels an easy to like film.
